Bodega Updated 4 September 2026

Privacy

This page collects one thing, and only if you ask it to: your email address, so we can tell you when Bodega is ready.

What we collect

If you fill in the waitlist form, we store your email address and which of the boxes you ticked — Windows, Linux, or longer file recovery. That is the whole record. We don’t ask for your name, and there is nowhere on this site to give us one.

If you never use the form, we hold nothing about you at all.

Where it’s kept

Your address goes to Buttondown, the service we use to send email. It sits on their systems, not ours — we don’t run a database. Their handling of it is covered by Buttondown’s privacy policy.

You are not on the list until you answer the confirmation email. That’s deliberate: it means nobody can put your address on our list but you.

What we don’t do

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, their servers record ordinary request information — the page asked for, the time, an IP address, the browser’s user-agent string. We don’t use that for anything, and we don’t connect it to your email address. It is a side effect of being on the internet rather than something we chose to gather.

Getting removed

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re off the list — no reply needed, no reason asked for.

You can also write to the address in the footer and say “remove me”, and we’ll do it and confirm when it’s done. If you never confirmed in the first place, your address falls off on its own.

The app itself

This page is about the website. The Bodega application is a separate thing and doesn’t report back to us: you bring your own API key, and your prompts go from your machine to the AI provider you chose. Bodega is not released yet, and its own privacy terms will ship with it.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We won’t quietly start collecting something and leave this page as it was.

Asking us about it

Write to the address in the footer. A person reads it.
